Fort Lauderdale, FL November 06, 2009 -- Due to the turmoil in the real estate market, a Florida couple is raffling off their luxury home in Fort Lauderdale for only $30 a ticket. After the drawing is held, the deed and title to the home will be transferred to the lucky winner (with no mortgage), and the proceeds raised will go to benefit The Mission of St. Francis.

Moving from their dream home is something Miles and Laura Brannan never thought would happen, but the economic crisis has caused them to make many tough decisions. They came to the conclusion that raffling off their 6,000 sq. ft. waterfront home was the only reasonable solution. Enter Dennis Rodman.

Five time NBA champion and basketball legend Dennis Rodman aka “The Worm” wants to help keep The Mission of St. Francis open for those in need. Dennis entered rehab this past summer at the Pasadena Recovery Center under the treatment of celebrity treatment expert, Dr. Drew Pinsky. His experience will be seen on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab and Sober House in early 2010.  According to Dennis, “This is a very personal cause for me.  I really love what the Mission of St. Francis is doing to help the addicted.  I recently went to rehab, and I’m turning over a new leaf to make amends for my wild and crazy antics over all these years.  I’m on a personal mission to help this raffle raise the money for the Mission of St. Francis.”

The Mission of St. Francis, a 40 year old Fort Lauderdale based alcohol and drug treatment center, provides free treatment and other social services for the poor. They are proud to have helped over 10,000 people fight their addictions. The Mission is the oldest treatment center in Florida, and over all these years, their operations have been funded solely by private donations.  According to Miles Brannan, "The Mission of St. Francis is a wonderful organization that helps individuals suffering from addictions by providing them housing and helping them find jobs to get back on their feet.”

The Florida home's spacious open floor plan includes 6 bedrooms and 6.5 baths. The master suite is 1,000 square feet and has a second story balcony overlooking the water.  There is a 100 ft dock, and the home is located on Ft. Lauderdale's intracoastal waterway, with access to the Atlantic Ocean.  The estate also has a theater room with a 120" screen, 4 car garage, beautiful winding staircase, and automatic iron gates out front. Dennis Rodman appeared on Jay Leno “Tonight show” on April 1st

In a bid to increase the appeal of the original programming--not to mention the channel itself--Mark Cuban's HDNet will launch its makeover show in January with former NBA star Dennis Rodman. Called "Geek to Freak," Rodman tries to convert ordinary people into edgy mavericks like himself. Cuban, the HDNet CEO, described it as sort of a "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" with Rodman as the life-changer. It features people diametrically opposed to Rodman who want to live his life, says Cuban, speaking at an Advertising Week event in New York.

Dynamite USA partners, FEG and Pro Elite, held a press conference on Friday, June 1st, 2007 preceding their upcoming event Saturday night. Not only were the event's fighters introduced, but none other than former NBA personality Dennis Rodman made an appearance. Rodman opened the PPV by carrying out an Olympic “type” torch, which was handed off 5 or 6 times across the coliseum and eventually used to light the Olympic Cauldron used in the 1984 Summer Olympics.
